Workgroup 3

Hi! We are Marc Reverté, Mireia Mestre, Maria Gimeno and Dèlia Prades. We are the workgroup 3.

Here there is a photo of us,
but Dèlia wasn't there that day.

The project consisted in see at which temperature the water boiled (La Sénia is 365m above the sea level and the atmosphere pressure that day was 1010 hPa). For that we used:

- A mercury thermometer
- A heating plate.
- A test tube with tap water.
- A plier to hold the thermometer
- A chronometer

First, we add to the test tube a little bit of tap water and we started to heat it with the heating plate. Every 30 seconds we looked at the thermometer to see how was the temperature increasing. After 17:30 minutes, the temperature of the water was 95 ºC and it started to boil. From the minute 19:00, the temperature was 99 ºC and it didn't increase because when it boils the temperature stays the same.
