Workgroup 1

Hi, we are Alba Roca, Hassna Amaadani, Laura Felipo and Zoé Sabaté, the group number 1.

We did the experiment the 6^th February 2015. The altitude in La Sénia is 365m above sea level and the pressure atmospheric of this day was 1010 hPa

In the lab, the different groups made boiled the tap water or the distilled water with a thermometer, a temperature sensor or both.

Our material was:

•          Distilled water
•          Thermometer
•          Temperature sensor
•         Hotplate
•          Beaker
•          Computer
•          Stop watch
•          Goggles (to protect us)

First, we put the distilled water in the beaker and then, we switch on the hotplate. After that, we took measures of the temperature with the mercury thermometer and the temperature sensor connected to the computer.

Second, every 30 seconds later we looked the water’s temperature in the thermometer and the computer measured that alone.

Finally, the water boiled.
